Dome Blowing Oven
Dome blowing begins with heating a piece of acrylic in an oven. Once the piece is supple, it is then transferred to the a dome blowing unit, where it is clamped under a circular ring. Air pressure is applied which blows the material up and the elastic nature of the material forms it into a uniform, hemispherical dome. Our dome blowing units and oven allow us to form domes up to a diameter of 1220mm.
